17β-Estradiol-Loaded Exosomes for Targeted Drug Delivery in Osteoporosis: A Comparative Study of Two Loading Methods

Purpose: Exosomes are natural nanoparticles that participate in intercellular communication through molecular transport. Recently, due to their membrane vesicular structure and surface proteins, exosomes have been used extensively the research field of drug delivery. Osteoporosis is an inflammation which cellular balance bone tissue disturbed reduces density making prone abnormal fractures with small amount force. Utilizing estrogen one main therapeutic strategies for osteoporosis. Despite positive effects on tissue, changes levels body can cause a number diseases such as different types cancer. Therefore, designing system controls more accurate targeting seems be rational promising practical approach. Methods: In this study, marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs)-derived were loaded by estradiol using two methods loading, namely incubation sonication then survival BMMSCs was investigated. Results: Examination size, shape, factors states (pure drug-loaded exosomes) showed round morphology preserved all conditions. However, particles size increased significantly when method.
